A LINWOOD man who vanished more than a decade ago could have travelled to a religious site somewhere in the UK.

Edward Dallas was last seen on the town's Bridge of Weird Road in March 2010 and hasn't been heard from since.

Detectives have now issued another appeal in the hopes of discovering fresh leads into the 49-year-old's disappearance.

They say Edward has an interest in photography and Buddhism and may have travelled throughout the UK for these.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "Edward Dallas was reported missing from his home address in Linwood on March 3, 2010, by his family. Extensive enquiries have been carried out to trace him however these have been unsuccessful.

"At the time of going missing he was described as being 5ft 8, dark hair, stocky build, blue eyes and had a beard.

"The missing person has an interest in photography and Buddhism and was known to travel throughout the UK to follow these interests."

Edward, aged 38 at the time, left a house on Bridge of Weir Road around 7am on March 3, 2010.

He lifted cash from Paisley High Street and then fell off the radar.

Despite numerous public appeals, false sightings and searches, Edward has still not been traced

The force spokesman added: "We wish to ascertain his whereabouts to ensure he is safe and well and urge him or anyone who knows his location to please contact us."

Phone police on 101 if you have any information.
