CORONAVIRUS has claimed another three lives in Renfrewshire, latest figures show.
According to the National Records of Scotland (NRS), the fatalities took place in the week ending March 28 and bring the area's total death toll since the pandemic began to 519.
Glasgow recorded the highest number of Covid deaths last week, at 14, followed by North Lanarkshire, Falkirk and East Ayrshire, which each recorded five deaths.
The figures include all fatalities registered where Covid-19 was mentioned on the death certificate and, as this includes suspected or probable cases, it differs from the lab-confirmed coronavirus deaths announced daily by the Scottish Government.
Across Scotland as a whole, the death toll now stands at 9,958.
