POLICE seized thousands of pounds worth of drugs and thousands more in cash during two separate swoops in Johnstone.
Officers from Renfrewshire's community policing department and the alcohol and violence reduction team, led by Sergeant Jason Cooper, first targeted a house in Cartside Avenue at around 9am on Wednesday.
No drugs were found in the property but around £1,600 was seized by police under the Proceeds of Crime Act.
Soon afterwards, officers armed with a search warrant gained entry to a home in Greenend Avenue.
A 48-year-old woman was arrested in relation to tablets with an estimated street value of £5,000 that were recovered during the search.
Police also seized just under £3,000 in cash.
The woman was later released, pending further enquiries, and the tablets have been sent to a laboratory for analysis.
A police spokesperson said a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal in connection with the raids.
