POLICE are appealing for information after a car was torched in Linwood last night.
Officers on patrol spotted the black car on fire in a car park in Blackwood Avenue at around 11.35pm.
A crew from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) rushed to the scene and was able to extinguish the flames before anyone was injured.
Police have confirmed the incident is being treated as wilful fireraising and their enquiries are ongoing.
Sergeant Jo Henderson, of the community policing team, said: "We are appealing for information from any witnesses or anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage in the area around this time."
