TWO men have been charged with driving offences following separate incidents in Renfrewshire at the weekend.
At around 5pm on Saturday, police received a report of a road accident involving three vehicles in Greenock Road, Inchinnan.
Following the collision, one of the motorists allegedly attempted to flee the scene but was caught by officers after a short chase.
The 35-year-old man was charged with a number of driving offences, as well as possession of drugs with intent to supply.
Police said a variety of drugs, believed to have a combined street value of £1,500, have been sent to a laboratory for analysis.
It is understood that one of the other motorists involved in the crash suffered minor injuries.
The suspect was later released and is due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court at a later date.
At around 2.05am today, officers pulled over a 20-year-old driver in Hawkhead Road, Paisley, and carried out a breath test.
It is alleged he was found to be over the drink-drive limit.
A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
