A MAN has been arrested following a crash in Renfrew on Monday.
Residents reported a large police presence in Paisley Road, near Wright Street.
The suspect was arrested at around 1pm for alleged road traffic offences.
No-one was injured and an investigation into the crash is ongoing.
There have been conflicting reports over the vehicles involved in the collision, with police reporting the incident involved a bus and a car.
However, Mika Logistics told The Gazette that a car collided with one of its 7.5-tonne commercial lorries, while bus firm McGill’s said none of its vehicles were damaged.
A police spokeswoman said: “Officers were called to the Wright Street area of Renfrew following a minor crash involving a bus.
“There were no injuries and one man was arrested in connection with road traffic offences.
“Enquiries remain ongoing.”
