POLICE are probing two car thefts in Renfrewshire over the weekend.

At around 12.35am on Saturday, a red Ford Focus was stolen from a property in Sempill Avenue, Erskine.

A white Ford Fiesta was taken from outside a home in Kenley Road, Renfrew, between 6pm on Friday and 11am on Saturday.

The number plates of the Focus and Fiesta are SN13 UJS and PY66 NUC respectively.

Constable Stephen Solomon, of Paisley police station, said: "Enquiries are ongoing to trace the vehicles and those involved.

"We are keeping an open mind as to whether the incidents are connected.

"I am appealing to anyone who may have seen or heard any suspicious activity in the areas at the times the vehicles were stolen. Perhaps you have seen these cars being driven since then?

"If you have any CCTV or dash-cam footage that could assist with our enquiries, please get in touch."

Anyone with information is asked to call the police on 101, quoting reference number 0936 of April 17.
