AN investigation has been launched following a devastating house fire in Renfrew this morning.
Emergency services who rushed to the scene in Rosslyn Way at around 6.10am found the home well ablaze.
However, a crew from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) was able to put out the flames before anyone was injured.
The house was extensively damaged, with the property cordoned off and fire crews remaining at the scene.
Police said the blaze is being treated as "unexplained" and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.
A SFRS spokesperson added: "Operations Control mobilised two appliances and firefighters have extinguished a fire within an end terraced house in a two-storey building.
"Crews currently remain at the scene."
