A MAN has been charged after an alleged stabbing near a polling station.
Emergency services responded to reports of the incident on Broomlands Street in Paisley at 9.15am yesterday morning.
Police confirmed that the disturbance was in no way linked to the election and that there was no risk to the wider public.

A 50-year-old man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow with life-threatening injuries.
A 25-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with an alleged serious assault.
He is expected to appear in court on Monday.
