THE description of a sex attacker has been released after a 20-year-old woman was assaulted last week.

The victim had been walking on a secluded path between Hillhead Road and Canal Street in Kirkintilloch last Friday before she was approached by a man.

He began to speak to the young woman before grabbing her and launching his attack.

Last week, we told how detectives had launched an investigation into the incident, which happened between 11pm and 11.20pm.

Now, they are appealing for members of the public who may have witnessed any suspicious activity to come forward.
