POLICE are appealing for information after two incidents of wilful fireraising in Renfrew.

A crew from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) was called to Kings Inch Road at around 8.35pm on Sunday, May 16, to deal with rubbish that had been set alight in a skip.

Police said the contents of the skip were then found ablaze for a second time at around 7.10pm on Tuesday, May 18.

It is understood that no-one was injured during either incident.

Officers have been reviewing CCTV footage in an effort to identify a number of men believed to have been involved in setting the fires.

Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call the police on 101.
