HOTEL bosses are hiring staff after experiencing a welcome surge in bookings.

The recruitment drive by Manorview Hotels comes after the company completed a refurbishment at the Lynnhurst Hotel, in Johnstone.

Manorview, which also owns and operates a number of other properties across the west of Scotland, including Bowfield Hotel and Country Club, in Howwood, has vacancies for junior sous chefs, sous chefs, breakfast and pastry chefs and a chef de partie, as well as a head chef role.

In addition, five positions for a kitchen porter are being advertised – an entry level role in which many Manorview chefs started their catering career.

Claire Johnston, head of people at Manorview, said: “This is a crucial time for the brand and we have lots of exciting developments happening, including refurbishments and new restaurants opening within the group.

"Naturally, we want to ensure we have the right people working alongside us to deliver the quality experience we are now renowned for.

“Offering the highest levels of service and experience is at the heart of everything we do at Manorview and great food plays a vital part in our offering.

“When you join one of our venues, you will instantly become part of a wider group team, bringing with it the benefits of a large and experienced peer group with extensive opportunities for learning, development and knowledge exchange.

"Manorview Hotels is committed to helping chefs develop their skills and we are proud to offer a Modern Apprenticeship programme which is focused on identifying talent from the outset.”
