A YOUNG man has been attacked and robbed in the car park of Johnstone High School.
The mugging happened around 11.30pm last night, when the 23-year-old victim was with an older woman in her 40s.
Both were confronted by three thugs who ordered the man to hand over his cash and valuables, including a mobile phone.
During the robbery, the victim was also attacked and suffered an eye injury.
The three muggers were wearing dark clothing and had their faces masked.
Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone who was in the Beith Road area at the time to come forward.
A spokesman added: "The male received a cut to the eye but did not require hospital treatment."
Anyone who can help should call officers on 101.
