DETECTIVES are investigating high-value burglaries in Renfrew.
Two properties in the Dean Park area of town were raided during a three-day period.
The first incident took place in Tarras Drive between Thursday and Friday, when a house was broken into and ransacked.
The second burglary happened in nearby Morriston Crescent on Sunday, between noon and 6pm, while the owners were out.
They returned to discover their home had been trashed.
Police have declined to say what was taken during the two housebreakings but confirmed that the various items stolen had a substantial value.
A spokesman said officers could not rule out the possibility the two break-ins are connected.
He added: "Both sets of householders returned to discover that entry had been forced and their properties in disarray.
"We are appealing for anyone who was in the area on the days in question and saw anyone acting suspiciously to contact Paisley CID, particularly if they have dashcam footage.
"Details of the items stolen are not being released at present."
