Police issue security alert after Renfrew break-in
POLICE in Renfrew have issued a security alert after a man tried to break into a home in the Moorpark area of town last week.
The would-be robber attempted to force his way in through patio doors at the rear of the property but was disturbed and ran off.
Police said the attempted raid took place at around 12.30am on Thursday.
The suspect was wearing a grey hooded top and carrying a backpack.
Officers are urging local people to make sure their patio doors and windows are secure before they go to bed at night.
They have also urged anyone who spotted the thief or has information about the attempted break-in to call them on 101.
