A MAN has been arrested and charged with possession of a knife and stealing a motorbike in Renfrew.
Police were called to Symington Crescent at around 11.30pm on Thursday over reports of a man acting suspiciously in the area.
It is alleged he also brandished a knife at members of the public.
A 38-year-old suspect was detained a short time later and was due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on Friday.
Police said he was in possession of a motorcycle and a knife was also seized.
The bike was later returned to its owner.
