AN investigation is underway after a would-be thief tried to break into an industrial unit in Erskine.
The attempted theft took place in Kilpatrick Drive, near Bridgewater shopping centre, sometime between 3.30am and 4am on Sunday.
Police were called to the industrial unit later that morning after it was discovered the shutter door had been damaged by someone attempting to prise it open.
However, it appears nothing was taken from the property.
Enquiries are ongoing and footage from CCTV cameras is being reviewed as part of the police investigation.
Anyone with information is asked to call officers on 101.
