A DROP-IN vaccination clinic has opened in Renfrew for those aged 40 or over who have yet to be fully protected against Covid-19.
Bosses at NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) announced the move in response to high virus rates in the area.
The jabs are being administered at the Charles Avenue car park between 11am and 6.30pm today and tomorrow.
It is understood the site can cope with 500 patients a day.
A spokesperson for NHSGGC said: "A mobile vaccination unit will be in Charles Avenue Car Park, Renfrew, on Thursday from 11am-6.30pm and members of the public are invited to attend."
From today, additional appointments have been made available to allow people in Greater Glasgow and Clyde to receive their second dose of the vaccine after eight weeks.
Appointments can be booked through the NHS Inform website and are available from today through to Sunday, June 20.
Patients who have second appointments booked and the time between first and second dose is longer than eight weeks, are able to move their appointments forward if they wish.
