A MAN has been arrested in connection with an alleged assault in Renfrew.
Police were called to a disturbance in Paisley Road at around 11.10pm on Saturday after a 25-year-old man was reportedly repeatedly struck to the head with a blunt weapon.
The injured man was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital, in Paisley, for treatment.
Police said a 32-year-old man was taken into custody and is due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court today.
