POLICE are appealing for information after a camper van was torched in Renfrew.
The Ford Transit motorhome was discovered on fire at a yard in Ferry Road at around 12.20am this morning.
A crew from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service rushed to the scene and was able to extinguish the flames before anyone was injured.
Police have confirmed the incident is being treated as wilful fireraising and their enquiries are ongoing.
Sergeant Jo Henderson, of the community policing team, said: "We are appealing for information from any witnesses or anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage in the area around this time."
