POLICE have launched an investigation after hundreds of pounds was stolen from an Erskine restaurant.
The theft took place at Dani's Diner, in Bridgewater Place, between 10.30pm on Friday and 7am on Saturday.
Police said a three-figure sum of money was swiped from the restaurant.
Footage from a CCTV system covering the area shows two unknown people wearing dark clothing near the building at the time of the theft.
It is understood the thieves gained entry to the restaurant through the rear door.
Sergeant Jo Henderson, of the community policing team, said: "If anybody has seen anyone in the area acting suspiciously between these times, please contact us."
Witnesses and anyone else who has information are asked to call officers on 101, citing crime number KB00240721.
