A MAN has been charged with breach of the peace after police were called to a disturbance in Johnstone.
It is claimed he was brandishing a knife and threatening a group of youths in William Street at around 6.30pm on Saturday.
Officers from the nearby police station in Church Street promptly arrived at the scene and, after further enquiries were carried out, they traced and arrested a 45-year-old suspect.
No weapon was recovered.
The suspect is due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court today.
