DETECTIVES are appealing for witnesses after a man was sexually assaulted on a train.
The victim boarded the 11.45pm Glasgow Central to Largs service, which calls at Paisley Gilmour Street, Johnstone, Milliken Park, Howwood and Lochwinnoch on its way to Ayrshire, on Friday, July 2.
After walking into the rear carriage, he became separated from his friends and asked another man if he had seen them.
The man then sexually assaulted him.
Police have described the pervert as a white male in his early 20s, of medium build, around 5ft 9ins tall and wearing a nose ring.
He had blond, curly hair and was dressed in dark jeans and trainers.
Officers have asked anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information to contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 10 of 03/07/21.
