Two men have appeared in court after an alleged murder bid in Renfrew.
It is claimed that Gavin Strachan and Stephen Paterson attacked a 38-year-old man in the town’s Paisley Road, leaving him seriously injured, on the afternoon of July 19.
Strachan, 39, and Paterson, 38, both from Renfrew, are accused of attempted murder and are also charged with assault and robbery in connection to a separate alleged incident.
They appeared on petition at Paisley Sheriff Court, where they made no plea or declaration.
Both were committed for further examination and remanded in custody.
