A teenager was seriously assaulted in Paisley last night after being set upon by other youths.
The 18-year-old victim attended hospital after being attacked near to the treeline adjacent to the 12th hole of Barshaw Golf Course at around 7.30pm.
Detective Sergeant Jason Buxton told the Gazette: "The18-year-old boy was in the company of ten or 11 similar-aged individuals.
"Three of the people within his group then set about him, not with weapons, but by kicking and punching him.
"As a result he had a cut to the eyebrow and went to hospital where he got three stitches."
