A WOMAN has been arrested for alleged drug offences and police assault in Linwood.
Officers were called to Kintyre Avenue at around 7pm on Sunday after receiving reports of a disturbance.
When police arrived, they reportedly traced a woman at a nearby property who began shouting abuse at them.
The 44-year-old suspect then allegedly kicked a door, which struck one of the officers.
While being arrested, she was found to have a quantity of tablets and drugs believed to be cannabis.
The woman was taken into custody and charged with two counts of drug possession and police assault.
A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
