CONCERNED residents gathered in a Renfrew street yesterday evening amid reports of a woman exposing herself to children at a Renfrew play park at the weekend.
Dozens of people assembled in Moorpark Square between 6pm and 7.30pm, with officers sent to the scene.
A police spokesperson said: "Police were called to Moorpark Square regarding a group of locals numbering around 40 to 50, who engaged in a peaceful protest regarding the conduct suspected to have been carried out by a female adult the day before.
"Police attended and monitored the protest. There were no arrests made and the crowd dispersed after 90 minutes."
Officers also confirmed a 50-year-old woman was charged yesterday following the alleged incident at a play park in Birch Place at around 6.30pm on Sunday.
A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
