RENFREWSHIRE school pupils were getting down to business at a careers day event last week.
Erskine Waterfront Campus organised the fun event for students in their playing field, with pupils at Park Mains High and Trinity High also invited to attend.
Young people from the Go2 service, a day care service supporting those with disabilities, and kids from the local Little Pandas nursery also came along to take part in the activities at 15 different stalls.
Emma Heaney, employability mentor at Erskine Waterfront Campus, said:”It was fab event and the sun was shining, which really helped.
“The older students got the opportunity to meet with employers they were interested in and hopefully for the younger students, seeds were sown for what they would like to do when they grow up.
“The event was really good for networking and there was a real community vibe, so it was lovely.”
As well as representatives from the emergency services, there was advice on offer from organisations such as Skills Development Scotland.
The Navy supplied virtual reality experiences for students, the Army brought along an interactive ‘reaction time’ game and youngsters could try on firefighting gear.
Those interested in a career in science, technology, engineering or maths could also visit a STEM trailer for advice.
