A photo competition is asking Renfrewshire residents to send in their best pictures which may feature in a charity calendar.

Recovery Across Mental Health (RAMH) are asking for submissions of photos that reflect how people have managed their emotions and struggles during the pandemic.

The charity suggests light-hearted pictures of friends, beloved pets, sports and scenery as just some examples of submissions.

12 winning images will be included in a 2022 RAMH calendar which will be sold to raise funds for the charity to support its work helping people in Renfrewshire who are experiencing mental health issues.

The submissions will be judged by Stephen McLellan, CEO at RAMH, Paul Dickson of the Mill Magazine and Sharron McGrady, creative artist and owner of Beautiful Wild Textiles.

One winner will also be chosen by the judged as the calendar front cover and will receive a framed print of their photo.

The competition comes ahead of Self Management Week starting on Monday, September 27, which celebrates the ways Renfrewshire people manage their feelings and emotions during tough times.

Acumen, a mental health support network, which is part of RAMH, is providing the competition in partnership with Mill Magazine.

Anyone over the age of 16 can enter and submissions must be made by the closing date of Wednesday, October 6.

Photographs should be filed in the Jpg format and emailed to: enquiries@acumennetwork.org.
