AN investigation has been launched after a caravan was deliberately set alight yesterday in the middle of a Johnstone road.
Emergency services who rushed to the scene in Auchenlodment Road at around 6.40pm found the vehicle well ablaze.
Police confirmed no-one was injured during the incident, which is being treated as wilful fireraising.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We received a report of a caravan on fire in Auchenlodment Road, Johnstone, around 6.40pm on Monday, October 10.
“There were no reports of any injuries.
“Enquiries into the fire, which is being treated as deliberate, are ongoing.”
Anyone with information is asked to call the police on 101.
