A MAN has been arrested after allegedly driving while under the influence of drugs.
Police were first alerted to an accident on the A737 in Lochwinnoch at around 7.50pm on Sunday.
A car had reportedly collided with another vehicle before being driven away from the scene.
It is claimed that, soon afterwards, a car matching the same description crashed into another vehicle in Beith Road, Howwood.
Police, who said no-one was injured during either incident, soon located the vehicle involved and took the driver into custody.
A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
