DRIVERS in Paisley are paying slightly more than the national average for their car insurance, new figures show.
According to the latest car insurance price index from Confused.com, Paisley motorists are now paying an average of £399 for their premiums.
The average cost of car insurance in Scotland is currently £394, following a 16% drop in 12 months.
Drivers in Glasgow pay the most for car insurance, with the average premium in the area now £478, followed by motorists in Motherwell, who are having to fork out £437.
Outside Central Scotland, the towns with the most expensive premiums include Dundee (£382) and Galashiels (£338).
