Provost Close in Johnstone
POLICE have seized hundreds of pounds worth of drugs after raiding a high-rise flat in Johnstone town centre.
Officers armed with a search warrant swooped on the property in Provost Close on Tuesday afternoon in response to a tip-off from a member of the public about suspicious activity taking place there.
A total of 20 cannabis plants were recovered inside the flat and a 39-year-old man was arrested.
The suspect was charged with misuse of drugs offences and theft of electricity.
He was later released but is due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court at a later date.
