POLICE are hunting a thug who assaulted a woman in Renfrewshire.

The 23-year-old victim was attacked by an unknown man in the Foxbar area of Paisley between 2pm and 3.45pm on Sunday, November 21.

Police said the exact location of the assault was unconfirmed but the woman had been walking between Foxbar and Linwood.

The woman was not injured during the incident and the suspect fled the scene in a white van.

Detective Constable Lauren McGill said: “Our enquiries are currently ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident and we are seeking assistance from the public to help with our investigation.

“If you saw a disturbance involving a male and a female who has shoulder length blonde hair and was wearing a knee length beige coloured body warmer, black top, black leggings and red trainers, then please get in touch.

“I would also ask if you were driving in the area around the time of the incident or have possible dashcam footage that you come forward."
