A CAST of Christmas characters made their way to Renfrew town centre at the weekend.
Cheeky elves, giant nutcrackers and Christmas candles were among the special guests who visited the town on Saturday to spread some festive cheer.
The giant characters, provided by arts company Bridgeman Arts, were handing out tokens that can be exchanged in participating local businesses for special offers or discounts, giving residents a chance to sample the best local food or get a head start on their Christmas shopping.
Paisley FM radio station was also broadcasting live from the town and there were pop-up performances throughout the day from Renfrew Burgh Band.
The festive friends will now be heading to Johnstone tomorrow, between noon and 4pm, to give out more tokens.
