A CAST of Christmas characters made their way to Renfrew town centre at the weekend.
Cheeky elves, cool snowmen and a model polar bear were among the special guests who visited on Saturday to spread some festive cheer.
The giant characters, provided by arts company Bridgeman Arts, were handing out tokens that can be exchanged in participating local businesses for special offers or discounts, giving residents a chance to sample the best local food or finish their Christmas shopping.
The fun events, organised by Renfrewshire Council, have taken place in Renfrew and Johnstone over the past four weekends to replace the usual Christmas lights switch-ons.
