A MEMBER of staff at a Renfrew pub was assaulted at the weekend by two women who had been asked to leave.

One of the suspects tried to kick the 36-year-old woman in the face during the incident at Davidson's Bar, in Hairst Street, at around 1.30am on Sunday.

Police said the two women had been told to leave the pub due to their high level of drunkenness.

The member of staff involved was not injured and the suspects fled the scene before officers arrived.

Enquiries are ongoing and police have been reviewing CCTV footage in an effort to identify the two women.

Anyone with information is asked to call officers on 101.
