POLICE have launched a probe after two people were found dead in Paisley.
Officers were called to a property in the town's Espedair Street at around 6.35pm on Monday.
The couple, who have been named locally as Stephen Mclachlan, 37, and Lisa Gilchrist, 38, were found dead at the scene.
Paying tribute to his parents on social media, their son Stephen said: "RIP mum and dad, can’t believe this still not sunk in yet. I love yous both so much more than yous will ever know.
"Love yous both forever."
Police confirmed the deaths are being treated as unexplained and an investigation has been launched.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers were called to a property in Espedair Street, Paisley, around 6.35pm on Monday, January 10, following the sudden death of a 38-year-old woman and a 37-year-old man.
“The deaths are currently being treated as unexplained and inquiries are ongoing.
“A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.”
