PAISLEY is one of the most naturally unhappiest places to live in the United Kingdom, according to a new study.

The Renfrewshire town ranked fifth in research carried out by bed company Bed Divans to find out which towns and cities experience the least and most sunlight hours during the winter months.

The study, which was inspired by research which states that two-fifths of UK adults feel more depressed due to dark nights, found that Paisley is only seeing 140 hours of predicted sunlight this winter.

Bradford, in West Yorkshire, was identified as the unhappiest place to live in the UK, while Chichester, in West Sussex, was found to be the happiest town.
