MINDLESS vandals have been slammed for destroying a wooden hut at Erskine Golf Club.
An image of the smashed-up shelter, with empty lager bottles and cider cans littering the area, was shared on the club's Facebook page on Sunday, January 16.
It is understood the hut, which provided golfers with shelter during wet weather, was wrecked by boozed-up yobs the previous night.
No-one from Erskine Golf Club was available for comment when contacted by The Gazette.
However, a message posted alongside the image of the destroyed hut stated: "Why do people feel the need to behave like this?"
Supporters of the club also took to social media to share their anger.
Gordon Millar described the vandals as "absolute scumbags."
A spokesperson for the local community policing team said officers hadn’t received any recent reports of vandalism at the golf club.
Anyone who has information should call the police on 101.
