POLICE are appealing for information after a woman was left distressed following an incident involving a man at a bus stop in Renfrewshire.

The 22-year-old victim was approached by the suspect in Renfrew Road, Paisley, at around 7.40pm on Saturday.

Police, who haven't confirmed what happened during the encounter, said the woman was left shaken and distressed following the incident.

The suspect, who is believed to be aged between 20 and 25, is described as white, slim and around 6ft tall.

At the time, he was wearing a blue fluorescent puffer jacket and dark grey jogging bottoms.

Witnesses and anyone else who has information are asked to call police on 101, quoting incident number 3305 of January 22.
