A kilt run was staged at Woodlands Primary last week to generate funds for the school’s Parent Council and local charity Lisa’s Gifts.

The charity provides financial assistance to Renfrewshire pupils who may need support to take part in a full range of school-based and extra-curricular activities.

Nearly 300 children, from primary one to primary seven, took part in the kilt run and the school is still collecting donations.

Linzi McMillan, principal teacher at Woodlands Primary, told The Gazette: “Classes, adorned in tartan, took up the challenge of running as many laps as possible around the track in a given time.

“The money raised will be shared with Renfrewshire charity Lisa’s Gifts and Woodlands Parent Council Fund.
