A NIGHT-TIME outdoor performance and mobile projection parade is to take place in Renfrewshire this weekend.
The event was due to be held in February but organisers pulled the plug amid concerns over Storm Eunice.
However, the performance will now take place in Paisley’s Seedhill area from 7pm to 8pm on Sunday.
Strut will see five ‘local dance heroes’ with a connection to the area perform personal choreographies in their own dance styles.
The rotating one-performer parade will weave through the streets, giving spectators time to watch several dances and show their appreciation by cheering, flickering their lights and waving to their neighbours.
The performances will be accompanied by video-mapped projections with upscaled images of the dancers which will frame windows on the street.
MHz directors Bex Anson and Dav Bernard said: “Fresh from the acclaimed premiere of our STRUT project performed in Govanhill and Pollokshields in October 2021 as part of Tramway’s Dance International Glasgow programme, we can’t wait to present our new cast of amazing dancers.
“This upbeat show is perfect to get the neighbourhood residents dancing in the streets in a celebration of local talent and community spirit.”
