A MAN has been charged with illegal possession of a knife in Johnstone town centre.
Officers stopped and searched the 35-year-old suspect in Houstoun Square at around 9.20pm on Sunday after a member of the public reported seeing someone with a weapon.
The man was allegedly found with a knife and taken into custody.
A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
