TWO people were taken to hospital on Monday after being injured in a road crash in Linwood.
It is understood a car collided with the side of another vehicle in Erskinefauld Road, near Our Lady of Peace Primary School, at around 4.50pm.
Both drivers – a 61-year-old man and a 54-year-old woman – were injured and the road was temporarily closed.
Police said the woman had to be cut free from her vehicle before both drivers were taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital, in Paisley, for treatment.
Their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Operations Control mobilised two fire appliances and firefighters assisted emergency service partners at the scene.
"Two casualties were in the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service and crews left after ensuring the area was made safe."
Police said no charges are expected to be brought in connection with the incident.
