RENFREW Bowling Club kick-started the new season in style at the weekend by staging an open day.
Members welcomed guests on Saturday as they celebrated the club’s 170th anniversary.
Vice-president Kenny Brown, pictured above with club president James Barber, said: “The event went well, with around 100 people attending, and the weather was very kind to us.
“Our treasurer Jessie McCartney couldn’t attend as she had Covid and was sorely missed but she is on the mend.
“We are very proud to have reached 170 years as a club and are hoping to continue to go from strength to strength.
“We have got 10 new members – five men and five women – which we are delighted about.”
