POLICE are hunting two men who broke into a Renfrew home before fleeing the scene in a white BMW.

The suspects caused damage within the Fairfield Drive property after exiting the car at around 7.55pm on Saturday, April 16.

One of the men was wearing a blue baseball cap and the other man was wearing light grey clothing.

Police said the men then left the area in the BMW M140, which was subsequently reported being driven erratically in the Abbotsinch Retail Park area.

The driver of the car is described as having dark hair and stubble and at the time, he was wearing glasses, a long-sleeved grey top and a face mask.

Detective Constable Liam Rodgers, of Paisley CID, said: "Enquiries into the incident are ongoing and I would urge anyone who has information or who may live in the area and heard or saw anything suspicious to contact police immediately.

"Likewise, if anyone was in the area and has dash-cam footage, CCTV or doorbell cameras I would encourage you to check your footage for anything of relevance.

"Although the property was secure, I would also like to take this opportunity to remind homeowners to review their security - make sure to keep your doors and windows locked at all times."

Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 3154 of April 16, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
