RUNAWAY cows caused a stir on a busy Renfrewshire road this afternoon after 'moo-ving' too close to traffic.
The unruly animals had to be diverted back to safety after they were spotted wandering next to the A737, near Johnstone, at around 1.35pm.
Police provided traffic management during the disruption.
A police spokesperson said: "Around 1.35pm on Friday, May 13, officers received reports of cows on the A737 near Johnstone.
"Officers attended for traffic management while the animals were removed from the carriageway."
