FILM buffs were flying high at Braehead Odeon on Thursday as it hosted a preview screening of the sequel to classic 80s movie Top Gun.

Staff at the cinema raised cash for their chosen charity SAMH (Scottish Association For Mental Health) before the start of the new Maverick film by organising a raffle of Top Gun posters and a special banner.

The Gazette:

David Thornton, cinema experience manager at Braehead Odeon, described the early screening as an “absolute blast.”

He added: “Almost 100 people turned up for the event, which initially had a live broadcast from London where the UK Royal premiere was being held, before settling into the film itself afterwards.”
