POLICE have launched an investigation after a thief stole hundreds of pounds during a raid on a shop in Bridge of Weir.
The theft took place in the village's Main Street overnight between Saturday and Sunday.
Officers were notified of the incident on Sunday afternoon, when it was discovered that the shop door had been forced open and a three-figure sum of money taken.
Enquiries are ongoing and footage from CCTV cameras is being reviewed as part of the police investigation.
Anyone with information is asked to call officers on 101.
